Toyota’s section of The New York City International Car show displayed their latest model cars. This year’s 50th anniversary edition Toyota Carolla SE sitting on a black podium is one of the many 2016 edition cars with Bluetooth compatibility, integrated navigation, and back up cameras. Sponsored Red Toyota bags gave viewers the availability to collect informational packets on models available this year and some not yet available in the United States. “Premium materials and tons of space mean that your friends and gear can ride in comfort, and advanced tech helps keep you connected to your music, maps and apps” said Toyota Motor Sales information pancket of 2016.
50th Anniversary Special Edition Corolla
According to a press release by Toyota Division of Communication in March 23rd, Toyota has sold precisely 1.5 million Corollas a year. “Based on the sporty 2017 Corolla SE, the 50th Anniversary Special Edition package reflects Corolla’s continuous commitment to driver happiness. The custom package of features brings in exclusive details to celebrate the love this car earns around the world. Just 8,000 will be sold in the U.S.” says Toyota Communications. This model is expected to release Fall of this year and available in name brand Black Cherry, Classic Silver, Blizzard Pearl. 2016 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
This Toyota Highlander Hybrid is energy efficient and has a horse power of 280 which almost reaches the 2016 jeep wrangler horse power of 285. “Efficient with space and with fuel, the 2016 Highlander Hybrid has seating for seven with its standard third row, plus generous cargo space and a super ultra low emission Vehicle (SULEV) rating.”says Toyota Motor Sales. Toyota has a collective total of eight hybrid cars and one car in concept stage. This eight seating SUV joins the hybrid collection in LE, LE Plus, and XLE edition.
The 2016 Toyota Avalon

2017 Toyota Prius Prime
Electric Storm Blue Prius Prime integrates the most recent technology with a five hour charge time using a standard house outlet. "Regenerative braking helps give back small charges to the EV battery on the go, and if the battery charge does run out, Prius Prime will seamlessly shift back into hybrid mode so you can keep going.” Integrated into the car are two types are charging modes. The EV mode allows for everyday commuting and the Hybrid Mode extends the use of Battery without much aid from gas.
The non-Hybrid model RAV4 is available this year starting at ,350. Barcelona Red Metallic exterior gives the RAV4 a similar look to the Highlander Hybrid but adds a sleek and unique bumper design. The S-Code paint treatment and silver painted front/rear bumpers refines it’s style.
Toyota Concept I-ROAD
As "The Future of Mobility" the concept three wheeled and single seated transportation is sleek and smaller than conventional vehicles. A test drive in Tokyo revealed the sleek and unique turning methods that comes with the I-ROAD and how it can be used in tight driving areas. The I-ROAD comes in an assortment of colors from the presented silver to reds,blues, and greens. According to the Toyota Global website, This unique design combines the mobility of a motor bike with the stability of a normal car. "This environment friendly EV is powered by lithium-ion batteries and can travel for about 50km * on one charge" said Toyota Global. No C02 emissions means the concept is economically friendly and easy to recharge.
2016 Toyota Prius
The 2016 Toyota Prius comes in six models ranging from thousand – thousand re-sizes the other Prius models. The hybrid sport's stylish LED tail and headlights powered by the electric powered engine. Unlike the other models, this Prius is family friendly with double wishbone wheel suspension and advanced steering wheel controls with call options.
Back to the Future Toyota MIRA
Stealing the show with the reflective rims comes the Back to the Future inspired Toyota MIRA. Passers by gave the Mira a good look as the Hybrid cars of the future. The concept car is unique because if it’s hydrogen fuel cell. The electricity traveling through a water tank creates the hydrogen necessary to power the engine. The trunk revealed a Fusion container where the car absorbs it’s energy. “This process, known as electrolysis, passes an electrical current through the water to extract hydrogen.”
Sitting at the entrance of the Toyota showcase, the MIRA displayed it’s unique hybrid design. Hydrogen storage, A Battery, A fuel cell stack, and power control unit sits directly below the MIRA. Carbon fiber and glass fiber reinforces the hydrogen tank from driving damage while a sensor would pause the creation of hydrogen in case of an car accident. “actually the northeast where you guys are, that the next section to be getting the infrastructure.” said Felicia, a Toyota company representative.
