Anthony
Anthony Luis Medina is a multimedia journalist and photographer based in Queens, New York.
A recent graduate of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, Anthony has an interest in arts and culture reporting and has written for multiple publications including the NYCity News Service and The Wave Newspaper.
His community driven reporting inspired him to continue giving a voice to underserved communities and find new creative ways to reach larger audiences.
On top of his years of practice in the field of journalism, Anthony demonstrates a passion for photography and visual storytelling.
Capstone

What is a Capstone?
The capstone project is a culmination of a graduate student’s academic progress during their time at the J-School. Each student must successfully complete a capstone to qualify for graduation. The capstone must meet journalistic standards and reflect months of work.
What to expect
Anthony combined his passions for photography and telling compelling feature stories in his capstone project. During the global coronavirus pandemic, Anthony documented the lives of three retail workers to better highlight this marginalized class of employees.
